I am thinking about joining the HAG group for travel to Midland, TX to help with the B-23. Right now air fare is listed at $350. Would this be for one way or for both? I don't have a lot of money and never been to Texas before. I tried contacting the museum but no one was in the office. Just a small possibility I will do this. Not sure yet about the living arrangements if we have to stay in a hotel or what. But I know there must be a few wixers in and around Midland. Ideas?

Thanks,
Nathan

What's the HAG group? What's going on with this B-23? When are you going? Questions, questions ... Sounds like a great "warbird" thing for you to get involved with ... I'll split your air fair with you if you can explain more about what your intending to do .... Oh, wait!! you're a moderator ... forget it!!! .. haha, just kidding Nathan, PM me and explain a bit more of what this is about ... I'll be glad to sponsor you a bit ... And if I get out to Geneseo to meet you, find me a Hellcat and a good bottle of Scotch!!! I'm not much of a beer drinker ...

Geneseo is planning a trip next March to get the B-23 and bring it home to Geneseo. Right now 9 people are signed up to go.

Thanks for the kindness Mark...like I said I am just thinking about it right now.

Nathan, There is a Best Western right here at the Midland Airport. Tell them you want the CAF rate and it should be about $68.00/nite. Split the room with someone and it makes it about $34.00/nite. You don't need a car unless you want to go into town.

You need to get out there and see the world (of Warbirds) We'll get you there .... Just make sure you get some stick time flying that thing back to Geneseo ... :supz:

Thanks guys. Sadly the B-23 won't be flying home. It's going to be trucked. :)

What about the place just up the road towards town that used to have the CAF discount? It was certainly entertaining in the evening hours.

If the evening entertainment gets too wild, it won't just be the plane that's Draggin'!
