Warbird Information Exchange

Everyone who knows me knows that I'm not much of an Obama fan, let alone a George Bush fan. Nonetheless, I think that every U.S. citizen should attend a Presidential Inauguration at least once in their life.

To that end, I submit photos of my recent trip to D.C. to illustrate the splendor surrounding the event. I hope you enjoy them. I was fortunate enough to also capture the Presidential helicopter on the White House lawn during my visit, no doubt getting ready to take "W" to the airport to begin his journey back to Crawford, TX (note the armed guards on the White House roof).

I also took a sobering photo of the Iwo Jima Memorial. It was truly fantastic in its scale and execution. I'm sure you will agree! And finally a photo from the Capitol lawn, showing the beauty of the rotunda in all its splendor.
