Anybody have any pictures of "Gunfighter" after the crash? I've only seen pictures during the restoration and after. The original paint job is still one of my favorites on a P-51.

I havent met Claude yet...but I was told the story of the SNJ...hid dad flew that very same a/c in service. cool stuff!

Just curious: Why doesn't the buzz number match the last three digits of the tail number (or the actual serial)?

When was "Gunfighter" painted in the 55th FG colors? I originally thought this was done after the 1981 crash, but when watching the BBC show "Col. Culpeper's Flying Circus" you clearly see the 51 in the latter colors. And this film is shot during Airsho 80...
