Chris Rounds Red Knight T-33

Mon Feb 09, 2009 9:49 pm

I was wondering if T33Driver or anyone else had any information on the status of Chris Rounds and his "Red Knight" T-33.

I know that Chris flew at Oshkosh last year, but his website never was updated for any show schedules in 2008 and there is nothing new on his website yet for this year.

It would be great to see him and his beautiful jet at a show this year if possible.

I thought I saw him at this year's airshow convention.
Plus he has a new girlfriend/wife? That might be his excuse for not updating.

Thanks, Vlado. You may be right. But if he was at the ICAS convention that's a good sign that we may see him in the air at some point this year.

I found this on the web:

which seems to indicate the Chris and the Red Knight T-33 may be performing again this year at the MacDill Air Fest.

Hopefully he will appearing up at some other shows this year also.

Jim,

Got an email from Chris and he said air show bookings have really dried up for this season and that he wasn't likely to do much flying this year.

Hello Paul,
Sorry to hear that bookings are so sparse for Chris. Hope maybe he gets to show up at Oshkosh again and get in on the T-33 formations you were hoping for.

Thanks for the info.

Glad to see that Chris and his T-33 are scheduled to perform at the MacDill AFB show in Florida this weekend.

I remember meeting and seeing Rick Brickert fly the original at Marana many moons ago.
