He needs to bring the Bear to TX and have it painted by the guy that sprayed Spirit of Texas.

I never complain about paint since I don't own it, and I'm sure people don't like the color scheme on my airplane, but it's not like Rare Bear had the most eloquent of paint schemes the last couple of years either.

I generally follow that same rule Chris but, since the airplane has changed hands and is now being resprayed, I felt it was OK to air my opinion. I did suspend this rule in the case of the CAF "Martlet" however. :)

No offense to Mike Brown but thank goodness. Neither the current nor the previous paint schemes did much for the airplane in my opinion. Look forward to seeing the new paint, whatever it might be.

I second that. Also hope it's not going to be yellow again. For some reason the AF sensors just don't like that paint. I always have a heck of a time getting crisp flying shots of that plane.

And Tim.. we all know that's Canon's autofocus problems. :)

Quiet!!! I get lucky once in a while.

FWIW from a non-photographer to you 'real' ones: on occasion I'll have a problem with my Canon autofocus (Canon 20D) when shooting handhelds of art for "quick looks" for clients. What I do is change to the centerspot-only focus point, and it seems to take care of the problem.

Just a point about the aerobatic discussion surrounding the A-26. I f you get the "other Douglas" attack product you will have virtually none of these limitations to deal with.

I'm just sayin'................

But, then again, I might be biased.
