Just a bit of fun, I was inspired by Spooky's post showing his dog in his truck.

Here's our dog Toby. He's a (small) Kelpie cross, and is a rescue dog from the RSPCA, with no known previous. He's a great companion.

Here he's just having fun chasing around in the shallows at Duck Point, near Wilson's Prom, Victoria.

Image

I like the pic because of the way his ears, legs, tail and splashes all make 'arrows' for the way he's heading.

Our lab Tasha died a few years ago. She loved the airport and trashed every set of wood chocks she could find. She loved to sit behind the Stearman and T-6 when they cranked up and and soak up the breeze!

Not my dog, but a picture from a series of WWII shots my family found at an estate sale.

Molly, our old Rotty/Lab mix, with a couple of her favorite toys.

Sadly, she is no longer with us. A couple of days ago we had to make the decision that every pet owner dreads; the one you have to make when you realize that your pet/friend is in failing health and there's just no point in putting them through anymore discomfort.

So: no more 110 lb. lap-dog; no more sit-on-your-feet-so-you-can't-go- anywhere without petting her and no more chewed up TV remotes or pedometers. And no more early warning when the UPS truck enters the neighborhood. She was a good companion for the last 10 years and will be missed. Thanks for all the good times Molly!

Here's the real pictures of my mongrols. The brown one is named Cleco, and she's just your generic mix of dogs (got her from the dog pound). The retarded black dog is Merlin. And as his name implies, he's a real trouble maker! He's a lab-rott mix and just showed up at the house as a pup. They're both good entertainment.

Merlin & Cleco.......

Image

Unless sleeping, Cleco is always wagging that tail. (and yes, that is a fuselage sitting in my living room  ).............

Cleco on guard duty..........

Merlin being a...well........being a Merlin (cantakerous)..........

A 90 lb. dog, shoulder deep in an escape tunnel he dug   ............

But do you reckon he had fun doing it?

Here is Gracie in my '36 Ford. She's 8 going on 9 and is a shepard/sheltie mix. I got her when she was 7 weeks old. She was wandering a friend of mine's neighborhood after getting dumped. He found out that some kids from the city (1 street over) came over into his suburb and dumped her after the family decided they couldn't take care of her. I am forever grateful that they did. She is the best dog I have ever had.
