Cool. "King Nine Will Not Return" is one of my favorite episodes along with "The Seventh Is Made Up of Phantoms".

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up..I'd forgotten that Bob Cummings, actor, aviator, and former instructor pilot in the AAF
was in this episode. Born Charles Clarence Robert Orville Cummings, reported godson and flight instructee
of Orville Wright. I've also read he held Flight Instructor ticket #1, but I haven't looked it up. A short blurb
at Aerofiles...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Robert Cummings (June 10, 1908-Dec 2, 1990). Actor in films and tv. WW2 CPT flight instructor, also USAAF service pilot. Sportsman pilot, flew familiar all-green Porterfield 35-70 Spinach and Cessna C-37 Airmaster Spinach II [NC18550], Lockheed 12. Aviation films: Border Flight (1936); Carpetbaggers, The (1964); You Came Along (1945).

Not mentioned above, is his period with the Taylor Aerocar which was featured on one of his TV series I saw
as a kid. Some pics and clippings..

I'm sure the fate of that particular plane has to have been doscussed here before. Does anyone have the quick answer as to what became of it?

In the thread, "Need Name of Movie or TV Show with B-25", Taigh Raimey ID'd "King 9" as B-25C, 42-32354 was at
Borrego Springs..but I'm not sure whether that is current.

This thread has photos, including one from me:

Old photos, but it probably hasn't changed much - the old markings never died, they just faded away

Robert Cummings was one of my favorite actors - he could perform comedy and drama equally well.
