John - thats zinc chromate primer.

The blisters on the B-25 are actually on an A-20. (The first shot) There are blister windows behind the cockpit on the B-25 photos and that's so the Navigator can look down a little bit better.

The "Yellow" is actually the zinc chromate primer on the early, olive drab painted aircraft. Zinc Chromate can show up in many shades from yellow to darker green.

I never saw blisters on an A-20 before and made a leap of a/c ID faith. Kinda missed that big ol' single tail back there. Will look closer next time.

Also had never seen that startling shade of yellow. Didn't know it had/has so many different colors before.

I am reading of a pair of .30 cal in blisters on the nose of some models of the A-20, so is this them? I don't recall seeing a good pic of these installations?!?

As far as I know, links to other sites kosher, in fact, I prefer that as it leads to new sites and information I had not seen before. Unless the site specifically states "NO LINKING" which some do. What is NOT OK is lifting pics from sites, giving NO credit or link information and splattering it across the internet.

As a courtesy, most web site operators would prefer that you link to the web page containing the photo, not directly to the photo. Thus, I would have used:

http://617dambusters.com/DB7.html

This is not a legal requirement and I don't know the Wix policy, but it's good netiquette.
