Just like Hun Hunter but number 44. Looks so good with both flying in formation done up from the 57th.

Mike,

Very interesting info - is it a temporary paint scheme or not? BTW, I would be very pleased to see some photos of the 2 Jugs :D!

P-47 New Paint Scheme

Sun Apr 10, 2005 11:29 pm

John Shoffners P-47 is painted as Lt. John Hare from the 57th FS and the name on the side is "Wicked Wabbit" . we have to add some more lettering, and the paint scheme will be complete. This is really "Cool" a pair of matched P-47's from the same Squadron flying in airshows. You can see both of these P-47 at the Planes of Fame Airshow coming up in May. Also Bill Klaers P-47, POF P-47, and Bob Ponds P-47 will be at the Chino show as well. 5 P-47's in one spot.
