Can anyone shed any insight into this airplane? I see it's registered to an owner in San Diego and it appears in photos once in a while, otherwise it's kinda a mystery to me.

Owned by Bob Grondzik. His daughter flies a T-28. Really nice folks. He had some FAA trouble a while back, so he hasn't been at the Chino show for a year or two.

I've seen the pictures of it upon its return from Thailand but does anyone have any photos of this A-1H during its actual service with the USAF?

Ken

The Registry entry is out of date unfortunately... A-1 Skyraider/Bu. 139606

But it has a few good pictures in it.

seriously... I have been thinking the same thing... I need a O-2 and Skyraider to compliment the OV-1D and C-123 and Huey we already have.

Might as well pick up a T-28D, -1 Bearcat, and B-26 while you're shopping. :supz:

Funny enough, we already have a T-28 that is in restoration and has yet to be painted... though it is a B model, but so was the D model, so that is nothing a few hard points can't change...

And if we are able to ever buy another larger aircraft, the A-26/B-26 was one of the planes we were looking into. However, the chances of that happening are slim to none at the moment...
