Oops! Sorry about that! On both points! How about, pink and purple with red banana's? Your plane is just beautiful! It is seeing beautiful things like this that reminds me of the importance of preserving them, no matter how they are painted! You have an absolutly magnificent machine there! Sorry again, "Eric".

Hello Eric,
I've got a couple of pictures of your EA-1E with the previous paint scheme taken in the mid eighties when it was owned by Pete Thelen. I was restoring a F4U-5 Corsair for him at the time. I remember when it was purchased and re-painted as the person who purchased it from Pete flew them in combat and painted it identical to the one he flew in service.

Pete Thelen's F4U-5 is now owned by Jim Read in IN and he repainted it in the markings of a squadron mate and friend of his that was killed in combat if I remember correctly.

Hess Bomberger also had his Mustang painted in his original paint scheme and squadron colors. Which would the complainers rather see...the Mustang painted in the squadron markings original to the aircraft or the pilots original squadron markings. If the owner flew Mustangs in combat I know I'd rather see it in his original markings rather than the airplanes!

Sometimes the significance of the scheme should be determined before the criticizing starts!

Maybe that'll shed a little light on the paint scheme debate about your Skyraider!
