Unbelievable footage. I wouldn't want to be the chase car driver!
Note: audio is NSFW or if you have small children around due to song lyric-
(They used "She Hates Me" which makes liberal use of the f-word. In this context it's very funny)

WOW! That's one tough airframe - I thought I'd see parts flying off more than once!

The part flying off was one of the Pogo outriggers that they drop on take-off. Must have stayed on and they went by and dropped it again. Great video.

"i got it...I got it...WHOOPS...I got it ....... DANG&q

Everything I have read about those things says they are a booger to fly.

Sometimes it goes well..

All that, and they still landed one an aircraft carrier a few time to see if it would work......

in one landing one of the chase cars spins out-looking like it's ground looping too. Incredible. I can't stop watching it.

What's with the one at about the 1:30 mark. The outrigger wheels are still attached. Are they that nasty on takeoff too?

Looks like the only way to land the thing straight is to land gear up!

I was thinking the same thing. Seems like a gear-up would cause less damage.

Air Force pilots still can't land a tail wheel aircraft!

Scary stuff...

At least then they could turn into the wind . . .

I wonder if these guys would benefit by a few hours in a Champ or similar as part of the transition training....

I watched a U2 demo at Westover ARB, MA a few years back.
VERY Impressive!
