This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

These fascists don't just threaten warbirds. Fire bombers who use ex military or retired large civil aircraft, Angel flight pilots who use their aircraft on short notice on their nickel to transport sick or injured patients, especially organ transplant types who have to go on a moment's notice, smaller cargo operators, scenic flights and basically anything between a major airliner and a puddle jumper.

IF THESE PEOPLE CAN SHUT DOWN ONE TYPE OF AIRCRAFT, THEY'LL GO AFTER ANOTHER!
Lets keep each other fired up.

Lets discuss the spot inspections where the TSA climbed the probes on the nose of an rj to try and gain access to the cockpit emergency egress. They damaged the aircraft yet said nothing. Good thing the pilots caught it otherwise they would have lost all their ground reference data. This has happened twice that Im aware of. Its great that they will claim access to any of our aircraft so as to climb on them like jungle gyms.

In one of these climbing incidents the TSA employee damaged SEVERAL RJs, not just one, and the airline in question was supposedly fined substantially for not securing their aircraft properly.

"Tub Stacking A**holes maybe?"

Im gonna hold onto that one. Best TSA exchange ever:

To my crew and myself (me capt and f-attendant)
TSA:
"You need boarding passes to come through (security)"

ME:
Uh well we are actually flying the aircraft, we arent deadheading. We cant get boarding passes (we were in full uniform with all forms of id handy)

TSA:
"No one gets though here without a boarding pass."

CAPT:
You do understand we are flying the aircraft and cannot get boarding passes for our own flight just to get though your "special" procedure" here"

TSA:
"Im sorry but you need a boarding pass"

ME:
"Who are you protecting us from, each other?"

In the end the airline snuck us through with the baggage.

This is what you guys can look forward to working with if this happens. I get hassled a few days a week and im fully uniformed and credentialed.
