Tue Mar 10, 2009 12:03 am

Hi

Could any wixers be able to ID this tailwheel for me, I picked it up many years ago at a car boot sale. I believe its NA, but would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance

I can't specify this one to an A/C.
These types of wheels and tires were also used on ground support equipment. I have seen 3 of these mounted to castors for a dolly for for a F-86 engine.

The wheel that you pictured is not for an aircraft. It was used for ground handling equipment only. It did use the same tire as the T-6G and the P-51. All aircraft wheels have plenty of specs either embossed or cast into the wheel, ground handling equipment does not.
