I logged a bunch of hours in two of those I took care of at our flight school. The gear looks funny going up, but it makes a great speedbrake during slam-dunks. Not that an RG really needs a speedbrake...... :)

Uuuhhhh....isn't the gear retraction 'visuals' what prompted the USAF nickname of 'Oscar Duck' ? :)

Yup, it's just painful to see. I hope to never have that view of my aircraft.
