B-29 the "Georgia Peach"

Wed Sep 01, 2004 11:20 am

Does anyone have information on the B-29 named the "Georgia Peach". It was attached to the 58th Bomb Wing, 468th Bomb Group, 793rd Bomb Squadron. It flew the first bombing missions over Japan from a base in Chengtu China?

The original Georgia Peach was 42-63356 and she was sent home as a War Weary in late '44.
