Looks like the river was rising, or had started going down when I drove thru...It's one of those things, I never know which way I'm going to far in advance...Was hauling a load of haz-mat to Grand Rapids, and coming up thru Toledo, decided I didn't want to mess with the Mi. scalemaster, so came up the back way! BTW, Blissfield is a very charming small town...I made a mental note that this is a town I want to explore further in a smaller vehicle!

We are starting to dry out now. We got about 3 inches of rain on Sunday, and the ground was already saturated before we got that, then on Tuesday night we got about 2 1/2 more inches, I woke up yesterday as did most of the town to water in my basement. Back in 1981 we had 7 inches of rain in about 8 hours, and the water you drove through today was about 4 feet deep instead of 6-10 inches. Got about and inch of water in the basement during that one, not quite so lucky this time, not sure why, but I had about 8-10 inches this time. Lost a Computer, and some other minor items. Spent all day yesterday and today cleaning out, still not done with that, but the worst is over, now it is just final clean up and drying out.

Next time you come through this area, let me know, we have some great places to eat round here.
