Cool.

Didn't know people talked cars here.

I have a 1953 Ford Flathead engine that will be rebuilt for speed; I am going to put that flathead into an after market 1932 Ford Frame with a 1932 Ford Three-Window Coupe Repro Body. It'll take a while for all this to come together but my wife is on board for it. That helps.

I've got a few hot rods...

'40 Ford Coupe - currently mostly stock-ish - getting a blown flatty in a few years.

'53 Stude Coupe - built 289 & getting a 5-spd conversion in the future

'29 A roadster - project (on hold)

'36 Ford pickup - currently refurbing a bed for it. Later 8BA engine getting bolt-on goodies - headers & dual exhaust done, converted chevy distributor done, Offy heads, & Edelbrock 4bb intake w/WCFB coming soon

Got a couple old Willys wagons too...

My Collecting addiction spans the last 25 years. Currently I have These vehicles
66 427 Corvette coupe (restored)
67 SS 396 Impala Coupe with 43000 miles (restored)
68 Harley FLH Police special (restored)
79 Dodge Truck (Restored)
61 Kombi (unrestored)
51 Nash Coupe (unrestored)
54 Chev 2 door hardtop (unrestored)
66 Mazda 1000 coupe (1 of 200 made)
71 Datsun 1200 coupe (restored)
71 Datsun 1600 wagon (unrestored)
55 International COE Prime mover (unrestored)
49 Austin K series cab over mini bus (1of 5 left in the world and the only bus of its type built). Im planing on Pro streeting it as a tow camper.
58 Fiat 500 Abarth historic racecar. I am restoring this car as we speak.
It is powered by an Austin sprite engine and has been stretched 3ft into a streamliner. I has been a one owner car from new.
I also have over 20 antique boats dating back to 1890. Around half are restored. Most are historic speedboats from a Riva / Chris Craft ,outboard hydros up to a Merlin Powered unlimited.
I hope to add an antique plane to my collection in the future.

Ive tried over and over to work out how to post pics. I just managed to get my avatar up (with my wifes help). This computer stuff is all new to me. If someone can email me with instructions I can post them. I did send some pics to one of the members here a while ago. davehotboats@hotmail.com

The 67 Impala is a Factory 396 SS. Its only done 43000 miles and was imported to Australia believe it or not by a chrysler dealer for one of his customers. Coupes never came to Australia so back then it would have been a real rare beast. The car was converted to right hand drive and had an accident (nothing bad just the rear quarter) which put it off the road for nearly 20 years. The car was then repaired and I swapped it for a Harley 20 years ago when I was 22. It had 19000 miles on it then. Not long after I got it a jeolous guy scratch it all up over a girl I got onto so I ended up painting it. It really needs doing again now.

I went to this auction a few years ago and bought 9 antique bumper cars.
When I went to the guys place to pick them up he had a yard full of stuff. I bought ten 1950s pinball machines off him as well. In the yard was this drop tank that he said was used on a spitfire when they were being ferried from New Guinee to here. I paid him $50 for it and converted it into a billy cart which I race once a year at this Hot Rod show. Its not as fast as the others but everyone loves it. The first time I raced it on this windy 1km down hill course I lost a wheel. Having no brakes didnt help and I hit a tree. I won the hairiest ride trophy. By the way thats the only trophy in any sport I have ever won.

The Hydro is a 17ft 6in Jones design that was built in 58. I found it in Sth Australia and brought it home doing a full rebuild. I painted it up with one of the P26 Squadron markings. Its been crashed twice (luckily I walked out of both accidents). Its currently running a 350 chev and does just over 100 mph. The next race Im running in is called the Bridge to Bridge. A 70 mile one way race up the Hawkesbury river. The record for this race is 29minutes. If I get under 40 minutes Ill be over the moon. If you go onto you tube and type in Atomic Hydroplane you can see it run.
I sent 262 crew some other shots maybe he can post them also

Any time that I see a "General Lee" Dodge Charger it reminds of how the idiots who put together that dumb TV show and even dumber movie wrecked over 300 Dodge Chargers doing it. That is no exageration, those idiots responsible for those shows wrecked over 300 Dodge Chargers. They really should be shot.

Those idiots are even talking about a sequel. So attention all 1969 Dodge Charger owners: Don't sell your car to anyone that you don't know or it will end up a wrecked General Lee. Any one who does sell a Dodge Charger to those idiots who paint up the General Lees for TV or film should be prohibited from owning a Dodge Charger for the rest of their lives. As someone who truly appreciates fine and collectable automobiles, it really makes my blood boil when I see a General Lee Dodge Charger. I can't help but think of the 300 wrecked Dodge Chargers it took to get here.
