The photog was Paul Almquist. He was a professional photog in real life but a supply Sgt in the AAf (go figure!). He had a photo studio here in Salem but has been deceased for years.
If I'd turned in a photo like this in photography class I'd get an A just for composition!

No kidding! I suspect though that people like Paul in their time couldn't snap pictures off like we can today. It was propably part of a more expensive art/past time to carefully consider the subject and compose it accordinginly.
I'll be asking you about the photographers of your other pictures in the other thread. I hope you don't mind.
