Dallas was a gunslinger-- no doubt. He had a business in Alpine, Wyoming after the war called the Flying Saddle Motel which had a bar as well. Behind the bar was a large picture of him in his P-40. His aircraft had the "Holding My Own" carricature on the vertical of the chinaman peeing on the rising sun. People that knew him better said he was a fresh out of the 1850's kind of guy ready to fight and not afraid to get into a fray-- no matter what the odds. I stopped by the motel, rebuilt after a fire destroyed the original, now owned by new owners, last summer. They told me at that time Dallas was still living.

Dallas died over 20 years ago. :(
He made beautiful totem poles that he carved with a chainsaw 8)
