Warbird Information Exchange

Well, it is March, and that means another anniversary... it's hard to believe that I've been working on these sites for 14 years. The site has grown from a few pictures of a Focke-Wulf Ta 152 to more that 75,000 files and 6-7 visitors a day. I haven't been spending as much time as I used to on the sites (If 1500 of you guys wanna subscribe for $2 a month I'll quit my job and work on it full time <grin>) as my interests have broadened. But I am still here and still plugging away. Things might not be updated as fast as you or I would like but its still going, slowly but surely.

I wand to thank all the people that have put in time moderating this forum and to my sister Krista, who is the registration manager (she spends a lot of time weeding out spammers and approving accounts). they allow this site to operate and free up time for me to work on other areas.

And thanks to all of you who participate and help make this forum a community. And thanks to all those who just come and read. You all are what this site was built for and I'm so glad that so many people find enjoyment from it.

Scott, what else can be said about the amazing job you've done with this website and how it's helped me, personally, with a project or two that I've tinkered with? WIX is obviously a huge part of many Warbird junkies' lives, and the fact that you keep it Spam-free, and (mostly ) civil, is an incredible task by itself. But to have the interest and participation of many of those "in the know" in the Warbird Community, along with the increasingly important input from those who just love these old airplanes and wish to know more, is simply a fantastic achievement in which you have accomplished.

Congratulations on another Anniversary, and I'm proud to call myself a "WIXer."

Wix is like a crack house...I can't stay away...and it has saved me a lot of money in magazines....and cost me money on other ways...durn Collings Foundation.

Yes, even I have to say thanks, even though your website is contributing to my drinking problem and anger management issues ... haha ... I have been able to learn more about my father's Navy career, and I couldn't have found a better place for that. I have also met some very valuable, interesting and important friends here as well. I have also added some kooks to my long list of kooks. But I have also been added to others kooks lists as well. ... Bring back Greenwood and I'll think this is a better site than some of my __________ sites ... haha
