Geez Jack, where do find these jewels? :shock: All my years of seeing the same batch of VF-17 pictures over and over, and I never even know Kepford's Corsair broke its back like that. I read the book, but don't recall the story behind that damage. I wonder what the story is behind thise blacked out "kill" flags?

Rob did you know that #29's first pilot was "Dirty Eddie" March and carried his name and kills under the canopy and his nickname painted on the verticle stab :idea:

I did have Ltjg "Dirty Eddie" March on my VF-17 Bureau Numbers list showing that he had shared the plane (BuNo.17684), but didn't know whether it was before, during, after, or what. Very cool stuff! 8)
