B-25D of the 12th BG in 1943.. Gary says the canopy of the Spit in the background looks weird. I can tell it has the extended wingtips so is a VII or VIII. Other than that.........................
oh and a few more of the 12th BG.................

Now those mission markings on Poopsie are great! Toby (our dog) says paws up!

As to the Spitfire, it's intriguing. I reckon Jacks right as to those extended tips, making it, as he says, a VII (or VI - the VIII didn't have the extended tips being a 'normal' not High Altitude / HF fighter). However it looks like it's got a bubble/tall canopy rather than the high-back fuselage and pressurised canopy. Most interesting...

Oooooo...Nice pics. The funny looking Spit canopy may be the V-Stab of another plane parked behind it.....thinking out loud...

I like that big map on the third one down, but isn't it hard to lean out far enough to read it? Or is that for the wingman to read!?!

I, think the canopy looks funny because there is a rudder or hanger behind the Spitfire, just in the right spot. If, you look close you can see the Spit's canopy.

Love the crew photos as much as the planes!

Wide range of ages.

Interesting motorsickle behind Missouri Waltz...

Why the different colored bombs on Desert Warrior? Europe vs Afrika?

Thanks Jack

I don't know about you, but that Spit looks like the cropduster version. Very rare, indeed.
