Looking at the Type Certificate Data Sheet which is dated 1966.

If that is who the FAA shows as holder of the Type Certificate, then it is current, even if the last up date was in 1966.

check with the CAF in camarillo california since they operate one on a daily basis

Just because they operate one, does not mean they know anything about the type certificate holder. If you want to know the status and holder of a type certificate, contact the FAA,This is the contact branch for it, ANE-170 New York Aircraft Certification Office Tel: (516) 228-7300

easy there matt. I was just suggesting they could contact them to see if they new anything that could help. No need for assault. Its understood that the FAA is GOD and that they have all the info.
