Where Would You Go?

Sun Apr 05, 2009 11:05 pm

Let's say there was a disaster of some kind that affected your entire country (whatever country that may be). Where would you go to escape?

Wherever it is, what makes you think they would let you in? Have you ever tried to immigrate anywhere? The U.S. isn't the only country that has abandoned the "give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses" thing.

I figure it's a given that anyplace I might want to go besides here, wouldn't have me. One look at the immigration laws elsewhere takes care of that. I've looked. I've looked, just for the purposes of maybe buying a vacation/hang out pad in another country, one that I like. You ain't going there permanantly, legally that is.

I figure that if it's "That Bad" here, it's about a hundred times worse elsewhere. I'd never leave here.

Now if you're talking Pandemic, civil, economic, zombie attack, kind "O" unrest, thats a different story altogether. And again, If I go anywhere, it isn't going to be far. :D

Man, if I had a Skyraider I'd go wherever I wanted, immigration laws be darned! If they didn't slip on the oil leaking from the engine first the wake would knock them over.

I would get a visa, and go to a remote island!

I would move to the moon. Heck that B-32 would be all mine!

Hi Ryan!

You got that right, I'm liking Texas a whole lot! My kind of place. Besides, I figure the zombie hoards will probably be a little thinner here than in California, If for nothing else than there are more weapons and people who know how to use them, and a lack of giant numbers of folks stupid enough to get themselves zombified on the first day.

Texas is great!

Hi O.P. it looks like you've already skipped town. So what attracts you to Texas, and what precipitated your escape from California?

Where ever it would be, it would have a beach.

For me it would be New Zealand. So, if I ever disappear from around here, you can more than likely find me there, finally enjoying life. It's a great place for sure.

Now, back to daydreaming..........

Seriously New Guinea. I might have a problem with bugs. I dont like them! But searching for aircraft wrecks might overpower that fear.

I've been there, it's a fun place.
