The cowling came with a project I purchased, and included some other pieces off of the same airplane. It was told to me that it is off of an airplane a retired Brig. General lost on landing roll out.

Was that from the T-6G George Welch crashed into a bunch of boulders after groundlooping it off the runway awhile landing with the wind :?: :shock:
No wait....he's the guy that first broke the sound barrier :idea:
Must of been that other guy :roll: :roll: :twisted:
Whomever ever it was I'm sure they manned up and paid for the repairs :? :roll: :roll:

I've got a couple of tiny fragments of twisted aluminum from the rudder of the Kalamazoo Air Zoo's P-39 (found on the floor after an SUV crashed through the wall of the museum and into the tail of the Airacobra.)

And thanks to Albert Stix, I've got a few bits from his massive stash of NOS turret parts from the old Emerson Electric plant in St. Louis.
