The cowling came with a project I purchased, and included some other pieces off of the same airplane. It was told to me that it is off of an airplane a retired Brig. General lost on landing roll out.

I've got a couple of tiny fragments of twisted aluminum from the rudder of the Kalamazoo Air Zoo's P-39 (found on the floor after an SUV crashed through the wall of the museum and into the tail of the Airacobra.)
And thanks to Albert Stix, I've got a few bits from his massive stash of NOS turret parts from the old Emerson Electric plant in St. Louis.
