My yahoo mail goes down REGULARLY, every few months, for about two days at a time. It's very frustrating and seems to come when I have important correspondance needing attention. Other than that it's fine, and have come to think of it as normal (I've found whole sites devoted to Yahoo's bad service). I have since started other accounts, but can't seem to leave them completely.

Interesting Charles. Mrs JDK and I have had very few problems using yahoo in the last decade, at all sorts of odd places, times and circs. It's not perfect, but we rarely have outages. She has a .com domain, and we have used it a lot in 'daytime' N American hours in N America, so even my first thought, timezone-loading don't scan.

Of course copiers, computers and cameras can smell your urgency...

Just a community question. I'd moved it to the Off-Topic.

Yeah sorry to even ask, just was wondering if others had a problem.
I figured it out.
A very nasty virus or trogan program. I'm guessing that yahoo sensed it and just wouldn't let me even go the the sign up screen.
So after about 6 hours or so of fiddling and restoring all factory programs, all is good. The CPU usage would go to 100 percent, as soon as I connected to the internet. It sure gets old all the junk viruses and such these goof balls put on our computers to cause headaches and loss of information.

C'mon, Steve!

This is one of those issues that are harmless and actually can help someone else having the same technical issues. Not everyone is tech savvy.

Saludos,

Tulio
