Whilst trawling around the IL2 forums looking for news on Storm of War i came upon this http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/ ... 1601067457

Not sure what the outcome if this will be but i doubt it will be a good one for the operators of the Victor.
If this has been posted allready sorry .

Apparently the authorities accept it was a momentary 'flight' and they are not going to investigate further. :D

Wow, I hope that is true. I feared the worst for fast taxi runs after that happened. Apparently it was quite a heavy landing. Was there any damage to the Victor?

I wonder what the insurers, Health & Safety authorities and airfield owners will have to say, though.

Stupid question for sure, but what'is the condition to realise "fast taxi run" ? Is there real regulation or let be on the operation responsability ?
All controls must be serviceable ?

I'm not aware of any but it was said to have been a firm landing.

Personally, I have never seen a use for a fast taxi. Typically, airplanes are caused more harm than good during those scenarios.

Just my $.02 worth.
