Let me explain “warm” beer. I pull it out of my cellar and drink it. That is in the low 60-degree range. Mind you this in not Bud, Coors and the like. This is my bottle conditioned ales and lagers. It works for them.

So does everyone just hang out after every normal person leaves. My wife and I generally end up getting kick off the fields when we go to shows. I’ve haven’t hung around Geneseo too long just because I have always drove out in the am and had to return that same night, a 3.5 hours drive both ways makes a long day. I’m sure that I’ve rubbed elbows with several of you. It gets bad when you start to recognize people at air shows in Michigan from Air shows in Indiana and all around.

Geneseo lets you sit on the field as long as you want  . Most of the spectators leave early but there is a steak and chicken dinner both nights that anyone can buy tickets for, than we sit around a drink beer and watch the sun go down. The town holds a festival and when it is dark they set off fireworks 8) . After that we head for Club 41 :? . A rustic bar in an old wooden house on main street. Mind you for most of us we are up at 4am so by middnight only a few of us are left standing. I don't sleep to well on the road so I stay up until 2 or so, crash and than back down at the field at 8am. My wife comments I look two years older when I return from Geneseo

Actually, as much as this doesn't make sense, I understand the concept of warm beer being good. I drink Vanilla Coke on occasion, but once and a while I drink it at room temperature and is is very good, though in a different way from when it's cold. I am assuming beer is similar. However, warm mountain dew is similar to bile of a diseased yak... but not as tasty.

I use to road trip with a 12 pack of mountain dew behind my seat. Whenever I needed a little pick me up I'd grab one. Now the import part of this story that most of my road trips were in CA, NV, UT and AZ in the summer. Nothing like grabbing a dew that has been sitting in a car for two days straight and seems to the touch. :?

I just made a parts run from Boston to Buffalo and back in 36 hours. This included a five hour excursion to Canada (great beer and even better women) and about 5 hours of sleep. What keep me going (when the NY State Police weren't trying to kill me) was Red Bull (I choose Red Bull cuz the fly warbirds) and Star Bucks Double Shots.

Geneseo weekend

Hi Guys/gals,
I would like to fly-in in my RV-4 but have some questions for those of you that have flown in before.

Is there Customs on the field?. I will be crossing near Niagara so if not I can clear there.

Do they have good tie-down locations not too far from where the action is ?

Do they allow camping by your a/c ?

Any details to the above greatly appreciated.
KF :?: :P

I can say YES to all your questions!

For the customs, check in the AOPA book and call the Rochester custom to notify them. They'll pass the info to the field.

That is one of the best things about geneseo. Nothing is far from the action, spectators and flyers both.

I'm just a spectator, but I have seen tents set-up under aircraft when I haved arrived. I would suggest checking with the organizers to see if facilities are available.

Mike
