Hi,
I'm Evan and I'm 10 years old. I have a website where I have a bunch of interviews I've done with WWII pilots like Bud Anderson, Chuck Yeager, a Luftwaffe bomber pilot and other cool pilots.

I've lurked here for a long time and think this is the coolest site! My dad told me to just go ahead and write because all you guys are into warbirds like me! So here I am!

When I grow up I want to be like Steve Hinton and restore warbirds (and get to fly them all :D ) or fly fighters for the USAF. Right now I like meeting cool pilots and getting their amazing stories.

So I hope you like my website!

Hey Evan,

welcome to WIX. It's awesome to see someone as young as you so deeply interested in Warbirds. I know that'll make a lot of the old timers happy.

I myself, am 27 but was always known as "the kid that liked airplanes" as I'm pretty sure you have been too.

You certainly make me jealous about all the great pilots you've had the chance to speak with, but I can't be too jealous since I have met some great aviators too.

By the way, you've got a really cool website too!

keep up the good work. Maybe we'll meet someday at an airshow and if so I'd be happy to buy you a beer once you become of age, of course!

Cheers,

David

Hey Evan, how about posting the links to some of the interviews you've done in the past. I think folks here would like to read about the differences between flying the Hellcat and Zero. ;-)

Welcome Evan
I have a son who is 10 and he is a warbird fanatic too! He has a bit of stick time in a Mooney, a 172 and a Cirrus. He got to climb around in The Yellow Rose, B-25 out in Tesas last year and really had fun. You have a very nice website. Lots of cool aircraft.

Welcome Evan,
If you are ever on the East Coast and it's okay with your folks, you are welcome to come fly with me in Stinson L-5E 44-17543. Afterrward, you can hang out with my son, if he doesn't bore you with Transformers!

Evan,
Wow!
Hope you make it to the East Coast sometime. Your enthusiasm will be contagious around here.
Watch what you wish for- I have worked for Steve and it took a great deal of effort and desire as a teen to hang out at Chino but it was worth it. I learned a lot from Steve and that generation of Chino Kids who are not kids any more.
I have 3 kids of my own and Stephen, my youngest is 10 like you.
Here he is goofing off in the hangar.

The older ones are teens and they help me work on the warbirds here in the hangar.
Chris, the oldest.

Michael, the dreaded middle child.

Have fun being a kid and I hope your aviation dreams take off.

It might sound a bit silly, but a lot of us adults aren't grown up. We're just big kids at heart. :)
