I think the basic airframe is a Dash 4, with a little bit of everything else thrown in for good measure.
They're doing a great job doing there. I hope they keep at it!

The model name they are using for that particular Corsair is F4U-X, since it is basically a frankenplane (note: I don't mean that in a bad way at all):

The Vought retirees are doing well, given what they have, and the lack of funds they are saddled with. The last time I visited, I saw an awful lot of fiberglass and bondo being used in place of sheetmetal fabrication. A shame that some very rare aircraft can't be restored with proper resources.
