Pretty nice grouping there, and congratulations on your win!

Seeing those pictures of the grouping reminds me of a great friend of mine who was once the Firearms Instructor for the Shelby County Sheriff's Department in Memphis, TN (he was also a three time TN State pistol shooting champion). He used to get these "gung-ho" cadets in his class that could shoot their service pistol in nice little groups like that, and my buddy would (as a joke) fail them for that day's work. When they'd approach him and ask why they failed, he would say, "Grouping your bullets in a bad guy don't mean sh*t! Shoot that S.O.B. all over the dang place!!! Those Emergency Room doctors can only work on one hole at a time, so if you're gonna shoot someone, you better spread it out and hope the doc can't get to all the holes before that bastard dies!"

Personally, I always found that to be good advice. :D

Day-um, that's some small groups  Good work!

My old Match Garand won't do that good at 100 yds... even if I could anymore :(

Gary's friend sez (he sez): "so if you're gonna shoot someone, you better spread it out"

Ayuh! That's what they make 12-gauge side-by-side shotguns fer!

He was talking about spreading the shots out, not spreading the bad guy guts out on the floor,

Okay y'all, help me out here. On a thread in the WIX hanger, y'all are all about how the government has turned into big brother (both parties are guilty), and is getting more and more into our lives.

While over here, y'all are announcing what y'all have and how well y'all are with them, and what y'all will do if the need arises.

Ya' think these government types maybe have some search program that will find this stuff and start a file on each of the folks who discuss this?

The pre-ban AR-15 is a very nice rifle, it will take an M-16 bolt and if you have an early enough one you won't have to mill out the lower receiver to accept a drop in auto sear for rockin'-N-rollin'. You can have the same rifle in .223, 9mm and 7.62mm (for those who want everything, it can have a 12guage mounted under the barrel except it looks kind of funny under the 9mm), works the same, feels almost the same. Something for every occasion, except maybe bear hunting. The .223 is really sweet. Using a scope, a person can get bored shooting the 10 ring at the range, until said person starts shooting the tacks holding the target to the frame. Not that I would have any experience with any of this mind you, just happened to read it somewhere.

And why is that girl carrying .50cal ammo when she has a 9mm weapon?

Fri May 29, 2009 10:20 pm

that is not 50cal, it is .30 cal, she is that tiny. as far as saying what I have, sorry to say, but shortly after the picture, my entire gun collection had a boating accident............thats my story and I am sticking to it
This should give you a idea how tall she is, she is holding a M-1 Garand

4'10", what does she have, maybe a foot on the rifle.
The belted rounds looked to small for .50's against the Uzi but I haven't seen one in a long time. And they sure looked like .50's against the model.

Now I'm really confused.

It just goes to show that I know absolutely nothing about evil guns. And sorry, pics don't show up at the link unless you register, and I ain't gonna' do that. Heck, it raised my paranoia meter just going there. Do the AK's have original style, folding, or post ban "Planet of the Ape's" stocks?

Now, you're learnin'.

Fri May 29, 2009 11:17 pm

the muzzle of the rifle comes to her shoulder when it is standing on the ground.

a .50 BMG round is 5.54 inches
a .30 cal, or 30/06 is 3.34 inches, there are about 200-250rnds in ammo can, her entire outfit is a bit less than 3/4 of can.

262,

Mine's a 40X Remington with a Hart SS barrel in .308, Barbara's is an Accuracy International in the same caliber.
