Had a nice day out at the Yorkshire Air museum today, they have got a nice collection of planes and some top class exhibitions. The Blue Diamonds Hunter is just so cool, as is the Halifax and the Victor. I would recommend the museum to anyone as it's a brilliant way to spend a few hours. Also the control tower is excellent.
I got to sit in a Jet Provost and Canberra cockpit, oh and yes I did play with the controls but never made no aeroplane sounds lol.
The staff were very helpful and the food in the restaurant is rather nice, so just go up there and enjoy
Here are some photos (sorry to 56k user's about the download time).
Very nice photos! I was fascinated by the shot of the disassembled Tornado fuselages. They looked so menacing like that, with their nose oleos depressed. Any info. on these birds, and what they are doing there/who owns them?
