I'm still investigating but apparently a personal attack occured against an individual who will not be named by a person who will not be named. This is resulting in potential legal action against the site. I do not have the time or the money to fight this (though if it does happen I will be fighting it tooth and nail, this is still the U.S.A.) But do me a favor and behave yourselves. I need this like I need cancer again :)

My .02 centavos is that we have all been behaving quite well lately, so I'm surprised. However, a professional set of debating skills for all Wixer's could probably help.

Any lawyers among the WIXer's willing to give advice or help would be appreciated. :)

I don't guess having a disclaimer would make any difference. Something like " This is a public forum and any opinions expressed are strictly those of the posters and do not neccessarily represent those of the host.

Another .02 cents, food for thought etc:

From travels abroad and at home, I know many folks from Indonesia and China. Anyway, I told one of these friends about this post, and what's going on with someone wanting to sue due to this board. Guess what they said?

Those stupid Americans. They abuse their own laws, and push what they can do wrong to the limit. They also abuse the system as a whole to the limit. This is the reputation we have abroad folks, it's a pretty sad commentary.

We are spoiled, and get everything handed to us. Then we sue when we don't get our way. One thing we lack is called forgiveness. We can go to school and get advanced degreees, and fly in space. However we can't even forgive others, how pathetic.

There is so much mass gross stupidity in this country right now, that I often wonder how we have accomplished everything we have.

Wow. A guy can't even tell a funny anecdotal story in public anymore without someone filing a full blown lawsuit? No one's out to vilify anyone around here, and certainly nothing was said that necessitates the throwing of legal bombshells from the shadowy depths of lurkdom. I'll venture to guess that a polite personal request to lock a thread would have gotten a person the same result without throwing a wild, potentially high-profile monkey wrench pitch at the problem. Ironic isn't it, how the worst cases of character assassination are usually self-induced after the fact?

I find that people have trouble taking responsibility for thier own actions, and when called on it the deny everything and in this case sue (possibly)

Man, just when I thought we were all playing nice together! All I got to say is if somebody has a problem with someone else,----just like in the pub----they need to take it OUTSIDE. This ain't the place for it. Scott you are the bouncer, do what ya gotta do!

Strangely enough, I think the thread about Challenge Publications has also been locked.

Coincidence?
