Those Goonies have gone seriously downhill since I saw them in 2001. THey were all still standing on their gear back then.

Do you have an N# for that G-44 Widgeon and the G-21 Goose in the hanger? Also, could you 'step on' the G-44 photo so I can see if it's a Frankin or McDermott conversion? I think the G-21 has the Pan Air retractable float conversion and not the Franklin but need more close up pix of the floats/tip area please-

The Widgeon is N41990 (cn 1421), an ex McDermott airplane.

I found the answer to your question about the Goose.
There are 2 Gooses registered in the state of Missouri.
One is a Goose registered to an operator in Vichy, MO.
It's N69263 cn 1132 and it has Pan Air retractable floats.

So what's the story with the DC-3's? Are they being scrapped? Is there someone I could talk to who claims ownership? We NEED one of those aircraft. Its a museum essential!

Mr Widgeon is correct. Grumman Goose N69263, s/n 1132, is registered to Baron Aviation Services in Vichy, MO. I have several other photos of it from last year.

It's history:
Built Feb. 1942 as a JRF-6B,
Served w/ British RAF 1941-1945
Sold as US Navy surplus and registered as N89492
In 1954, re-registered as N69263 Hickory Spinners Inc., Hickory, NC
Kodiak Airways 1964-1970's
Kodiak Western Airlines 1970's
Catalina Flying Boats/ Long Beach, CA 1984-1989
Baron Aviation Service, Vichy, MO 1990-present

It was on the market for sale last year, but I haven't seen it advertised lately. It was supposedly recently restored/overhauled and just waiting for paint and interior. We talked to Ed Schmidt at Baron about it at the time, but didn't pursue it. I sure was hoping that we'd have the opportunity to bring it "back home" to NC, but it hasn't happened yet.
