WIX'er Chuck Wahl on HGTV Sat. Aug. 15th!

Fri Aug 14, 2009 9:36 pm

I got a note from Chuck Wahl today.

He's gonna be on HGTV tomorrow,
at 10:00 AM PST Saturday Morning the 15th.
He said they filmed it over two years ago and it's finally gonna air as part of the "Man Land" series. You can do a search to find out when it will air in your area if these times are different.

Let's see if we can get a few WIX'ers to watch it and then give Chuck our honest critic!

Hey Guys, heres what the show is about.
A few years ago I was contacted by Home and Garden TV because I live in an airpark and have warbirds. They were developing a new TV series called "Man Land". Its actually a really cool show and worth watching all the time. George travels the country in search of the cool places that men built for themselves, NOT their wives.
The host, George Gray, http://www.georgegray.com and crew were here for a 14 hour day filming Cameron Airpark, our house and hangar setup. I ended up taking George up in my T-28 against the networks request(he couldnt resist!). Weeks later after filming I picked up George in my twin and he came back to see us "off camera" This guy is a crack up !

If you look up the time on the internet you will probably get an EAST COAST TIME as satellite feeds are posted normally in EST. If out west its probably on at 10:00 AM. Double check.
What I know so far is
DirectTV 10:00AM PST ch 229 HGTVHD MAN LAND
Comcast cable 11:00 am ch099
Dish 10:00am ch 112

The show description will say a man builds a hangar onto his house.
So check it out, its about airplanes, warbirds and the house on an airpark. I thought you guys might like it.

WOW! Thats a cool place. Great show Chuck. Love that paint on the T-28. I lived in Pensacola the last year they were flying them. I had a buddy that was in the last class to fly "The Macho Machine". :D

Nice job Chuck!
It really took them 14 hours to shoot that!?

Now that you're a star, what's next? Reno, perhaps?
Blue skies,

There's quite a lot of "hurry up & wait" with TV production. I did 2 or 3 episodes of a hot rod show & one memorable day involved sitting on my keester for 12 frigging hours from 7.30am. Finally managed to get about 30 minutes of actual work done before saying "*&^% it" & going home at 9pm. My kid ended up with more footage on TV than I did.
(Whatever that show was with Kenny Wayne Shepards *Extreme Lee* Charger..... and they STILL owe me $$$$ for work on that car)

Actually, I was just being funny.
I've been in the TV production business for over 20 years and it still amazes me when we have the opportunity to do a shoot that ends early!
The usual process means I call my wife and tell her I'll be late...again!
