Hey Jack,

I saw Sunday Punch at Santa Rosa two weekends ago during the air show. She hasn't flown for a while and they have been doing a slow annual. I think the props recently came back from Zach's for the AD compliance. I think she will be back in the air in the not too distant future.

Sunday Punch is sitting on Steve's ramp at the Santa Rosa Jet Center.

Steve and Lynn are two of the nicest guys in Warbirds.

Lynn is working on his personal B-25J which in my eyes is the most stock and original B-25 in existence. She came from South America with all of her armor and almost all of her armament still installed. Lynn is restoring her to be a complete combat ready original B-25J just like what his Dad flew.

I took some photos and maybe I will post them if there is any interest.

Yes please! I'd love to see some pictures. Now that I'm 1500 miles away I have to live vicariously.

My younger brother is one of Sunday punchs A&P's. When Lynn first got his B-25, he was in it with vacuum cleaning it out with a vacuum, and in area where top turrent goes, he heard something rattle around and found a .50 cal, LIVE round from WWII up there.he also has the top turret, fully functional .His dad did fly B-25;s in WWII and Lynn found a pilots log on Ebay once, and it was a used one with pilots name in pencil on it, so he bought it, It was his dads. reallly cool.

Taigh - post away! I'd been thinking about B-25's out in the west and this one had crossed my mind.

Sunday Punch is.......coming along! We started an annual about a year ago and it seemed there was a lot to do, props, fire bottles, cylinder changes, etc. We are down to needing only two things to finish it, time and money. The props are back and we have run both engines. Fire bottles, got to remember the fire bottles. We should have it flying for next season. There is even a rumor about a glass nose............
Steve did have a Panther project but sold it to Jeff Thomas.

Lynn,
An annual means once a year  not lasting for a year

I know this changes topics but what is the status of the Panther project? Having 3 T-33s and a MIG-15 here in Wendover has made me a bit of a early jet nut!

I think Sunday Punch looks great with the gun nose!

Annual means 12 months right?? Actually we've been at it longer than that sorry to say. Too many airplanes. The bomber nose just adds to the fun. Compared to an A-26 the B-25 is like a flying junglegym, lots to see and do, if you're young that is (Jack). Anyway, plan to turn the gun nose into a clubhouse.

Stay tuned....... recent pictures from secret Corsair factory may be forthcoming!

That gun nose isn't "real", though, is it? Looks like a cobbled-together approximation to me?

What's the story on the prop AD?
