About 15 years ago WTTW the local PBS station here in Chicago produced a fine show about the carrier operations in Lake Michigan during WW2. Called "Top Guns of '43" the video is now available for purchase. Although its only 25 minutes long, its very well done with a good deal of color footage. It can be ordered at
