Hi everyone,
I wanted to let everyone know that the Jet Aircraft Museum in London, ON, will be holding our Open House and Official Grand Opening on September 12th. If all goes as planned, we will have all 6 of our T-Birds on the premises, as we hope to get the final 3 in the week before the event. We are also expecting a few visitors, including a Fouga Magister, L-29, Yak-52, and a Harvard or two. Hopefully a few more as well. This is a free event, though we will have a full lunch available, or a BBQ lunch for the less hungry. We're very excited to be putting this on, and hope those in the area can make it. Note that this is a non-flying event...static only. I'll keep you up to date on the status of the 3 remaining T-Birds. More information can be found on our poster here:

Awesome!
I think I'll rent a 172 and fly in from Ottawa for that.

Sounds like a great event, would be fun to bring 133579, and 133599 up for it.

That would be cool.
I'm going to try to make it up for this, hopefully I can. Should be a lot of fun.

Update on the remaining aircraft at Mountainview...all three were given clearance for their ferry flight!!! They are scheduled to arrive in London on September 8th, weather permitting, of course. Can't wait to see all 6 lined up together.

An update from JAM:
LAST THREE T-BIRDS TO COME HOME
PLAN “A” – To bring all three home at once in formation at about 6:15PM Tuesday, Sept 8th. WOW!
Pilots Larry Ricker, Turbo Tarling and Joe Molnar will make the attempt to bring them home from Mountainview.
PLAN ‘B’ If Joe’s paper work does not come through, or bad weather, or a mechanical, two will come home Tuesday and the third one Wednesday
It will be great if we can have all six of our birds home for our OPEN HOUSE Saturday 12th and DOORS OPEN LONDON the next weekend.
I'll try and let everyone know how things are developing on Tuesday. Should be a great day!

Well, things didn't go as planned today. Only got one aircraft into the air, and that was just to Trenton. The other 2 have some minor electrical problems, but enough to keep them grounded. Still hoping to get the Trenton aircraft here tomorrow morning, but I guess it too has a small problem that has to be fixed. The crew is hoping to have it ready to go tomorrow.

Good news this morning! 113052 has just arrived in London. The crew managed to get her in the air this morning, and I just caught it on final into YXU. The other 2 will be worked on very soon, and hopefully brought in before the end of the month. So we'll have 4 for the open house on Saturday. Not too shabby!

Good to hear another one has come home. Hopefully the rest will arrive soon. We hope to be there Saturday and generate some interest in the mags.

Hi Eric,
Looks like the other two have some minor electrical issues, but are expected to make it here before the end of the month. And any exposure you can offer is greatly appreciated. See you Saturday.

Just a quick update. Along with our 4 T-Birds, we are expecting 2 x L-29, L-39, Yak-52, FW 149D, and a possible fly-over by the Harvards from CHAA. Weather is supposed to be sunny and warm tomorrow. Hope some of you can make it out.
