Hello all! I am a new poster to the WIX board but have been reading it for some time now. I am a big warbird enthusiast, but lately some questions have been coming up that I thought could only be answered here. First I was reading up on the DVHAA website about their collection after attending the Willow Grove show this weekend and it stated that there is a Cutlass being restored to flying condition? http://www.dvhaa.org/f7u.html
I was wondering where this was taking place and how far along it is?

An F7U-3 Cutlass is in the process of restoration by the Vought Aircraft retirees as part of the Vought Aircraft Heritage Foundation. I believe the restoration is being done in Dallas. The airctaft is on loan from the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. You can see their restoration projects at

Although the not for the purposes of flight, there is a Cutlass undergoing restoration at the Museum of Flight's restoration facility. For pics see...

Welcome Dors,

I was at Willow Grove this morning for their air show. While waiting for the gates to open, my family and I parked in the museum parking lot. I'm pretty sure their Cutlass is just south of the building next to the Sea Dart. I didn't spend much time looking at it (but I did make a mental note of museum hours for a more leisurely visit next fall or winter) but it looked like it could use some work. I read the museum url you provided and I believe it says someone is restoring a Cutlass but it doesn't say it is the Willow Grove example.
