My brother saw this B-17 over Windsor University, anyone have any idea which one and what its doing in the area?
Apparently that was the Yankee Air Museum's B-17, which was doing fly overs at Comerica Park during a ceremony honoring WWII vets at the Tiger's Game.

Saw a DC-3 or C-47 headed west over the Bronx at about 1000 feet this evening around 6:10 while I was commuting home. Had about 4 drinks before getting on the train, so almost didn't believe it at first, but no, it was real. Wonder whose it was and where it was headed.

Perhaps the B-17 over NYC is Yankee Lady, as B-17 "Yankee Lady" will be the highlight of the Wings and Wheels Expo at Teterboro Airport on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20.

Well, today is, or was, the 19th. Still a beautiful site and sound to see a marvelous B-17 flying over the Big Apple.

On my way home from Meacham (KFTW) and working on B-17 Chuckie, I stopped by Northwest Regional and saw this sticking out of the hanagar doors.
It's the tail of an HU-16 Albatross
Later I saw this nice L-bird taxi out and take off.
