Fantastic....another first class restoration facility in CO and folks that we know in charge....I wrote Bill about a year ago and he said come on down but we have yet to do so, gonna have to do it soon. Looks like the Springs is becoming Colorado's new Warbird Central what with Klaers/Wojciak relocating there, Richard Janitell locating a Sea Fury there, and some other friends of ours still flying their warbirds out of the Springs and Meadowlake airport nearby....Bill and Steve always talked about taking their Twin Beech to Colorado on vacations, mostly around the Durango area....never figured they'd give up their West coast digs for a location away from the ocean, but sure glad to have them in state. Can't wait to see what else they restore here.

I wish you all could crawl through the P-47D that the fine folks at Westpac built for Flying Heritage as it is about as accurate and authentic as it gets. So are the other aircraft that they have built but the Jug is my favorite...so far.

Westpac is one of the finest restoration shops around and they keep a low profile so you don't hear much about them but they are tops in my book. If they lay their hands on it you can bet it will be one of the best restorations to date.

I will get off of my soap box now.

Well, maybe a few photos to back up such strong sentiments. These were taken a few years ago before the FHC P-47D-40 was finished but it gives you the idea of the quality throughout:

Hey Taigh: What's the tube with the wingnut on the end fitting for? It's in a couple of the pictures, just onboard of the checklist.

Canopy Defrost duct most likely, The G suit hook up is on the RT side.
