Photos of said unit might help your search, photos of any data plates/decals too. Try to use a 6 inch scale for dimesional reference and pix that don't look like what I see before I put on my glasses help too-

Hi,

The SC-7-1 magneto was used on the Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah 7 cylinder radial engine as fitted to both the Avro Anson and Airspeed Oxford. Large numbers of these twin engined machines were made; widely used in the UK and Commonwealth countries including Canada as WW11 crew trainers.

These magnetos are readily available if you know where to look but there is not a big demand for them.

The Armstrong Siddeley Lynx was an earlier 7 cylinder radial, built in much smaller numbers. The magneto also was fitted to this engine. A few Lynx engines were used in Canada.

Howard

Hi

Did you ever find the SC7-1 mag? I am trying to make accurate models of this one for a 1/3 scale A-S Lynx but my 2 photos are inadequate. Does anyone know where I might find either a drawing or close up photos?

Thanks
Wez1
