I should have been more specific. CURRENT INFO. TODAY INFO.
WHATS HAPPENING TODAY, not goggle info or other internet rumor.

So they're going to return her to flight status? Fantastic, if so! I'd rather see them not put the L/M backseat on. It wasn't original to her. We traded with Champlin for it. I hope they also come up with a gun nose.

It's going to be a lot of work, regardless of if it's going to be a static restoration or to flight. The airframe had some major twisting to it.

I'm sure it'll be spectacular when it's finished, but at the time of it's accident that had to have been the world's ugliest P-38!

I hope you're speaking in relative terms.??? Any FLYING P-38 is a beautiful thing! I was quite fond of Scatterbrain Kid - it was the first P-38 I photographed. Can't wait to see it back in one piece - and if it is painted and in it's previous markings....sweet!

That would be a complete reversal for Mr. Allan who, I suspect, has very little interest in reviving and/or remembering the civilian history of this P-38. I'm sure it will be finished in a historically accurate scheme.

I'd like to see a "Night Lightning" version too.

Maybe Mr. Allan could swap this one to the MoF and put the second seat back on the proper airframe. :?:
