Off the cuff...
RAAF Point Cook, Victoria, Australia, has many of the W.W.I buildings in original or similar locations, most of the W.W.II buildings and inter war (and post war). You can clearly, easily trace the history of each 'overlay' of the buildings. The field layout and W.W.II runway layout remain, but with modern facilities.
RAF Bicester, Oxfordshire, UK, has the 1930s expansion period airfield, all over grass field and 1930s building remarkably original, many in use although kept 'as were', although one area of the base is semi derelict. Essentially as was in the 1930s.
