What kind of seat is this?

Fri Jun 03, 2005 8:11 pm

These came with my Rawdon but they don't go with it. I'm tired of walking around them and moving them from place to place. I have tow of them and they are identical. I took the back pad off for the picture.

looks like a citabria to me..............are you talking about a Rawdon T-1????
what number is yours????? i used to work on one in fla, that company eventually bought 2 more, out of the 5 that are flying.

I've got #'s -15, -26 and -29. -26 is one you probably worked on. It crashed last year and I aquired the remains. Aerial Sign is now Van Wagner Aerial Media and they only have two Rawdons left. T1-36 was recently sold to another person in Florida. That gives me the largest collection! Well...I've gotta have something to brag about!

Brad,
I suggest that you mount wheels on it and let Brian tow you behind the animal. But, only after some heavy drinking. I'm sure Bud would help with the engineering aspects.

Anybody want two seats? I'll give them away!

Jack, somewhere I've got the video of me tied to the folding metal chair, which was tied to the front of the tractor. Brian was driving and Bud was hanging on the steering column. Lord that was fun!

did these come from the stuff from ASC?? When I worked for them, they offered to sell me there champ. I could not at the time, not enough $$$ for a 19 yr old. But I was the only one that flew her and took care of it as my own until they took the motor off and put it on a PA-18. But I got to fly a super cub with a 0-360.....yeow that was fun. Last I knew they still had her, and flying again.

I have seen those type of seats on a Starduster Too project. If for an airplane, is it possible they came out of a homebuilt?
FYI, they definitely aren't from any Willy's jeeps!
