Sikorsky MH-60R BuNo 166545
Took me forever to discern the ID thanks to the low-viz scheme. No idea what made them stop at KLUK, but a random guess is that it was on a delivery flight from Sikorsky in CT, based on the lack of unit markings.

I saw a plane that looked like an old Army U-21 because it had some square windows instead of the King Air's round ones. It was in a two tone gray camouflage scheme, tail number N92B and it had a big pod of some kind attached to the belly. It was climbing out of Wright Patterson Air Force Base on its way somewhere.

Hey that is it! Now I know that it was former 70-15898 U-21G. I wonder what it is doing here and what that thing on its belly is?

4 of those came through our ramp this summer. They went through customs, dont know where they were comming from but the nose has a BUNCH of antenna's! I recognise the company as we also ran the N number.

Maybe they are patrolling the border to keep Americans from illegally escaping into Canada, eh?

Dynamic Aviation is a company here in VA that owns a zillion old King Airs. They do vaious missions all over the place, both civilian and military applications. Karl Stoltzfus owns it and I think his dad started it. The used to do their stuff with Beech 18s and DC3s. He bought a very nice T-6 a couple fo years ago.

I know a good friend flying for them. A lot of what they do sounds like fun.

A B-17 went by about about an hour ago, not certain which one. The tail wasn't visible to ID from my view.

Airnutz, we heard it make a couple of approaches into EFD yesterday. We were busy focusing on the F-4, T-33, and A-4, getting ready for Wings Over Houston this coming weekend. I'm thinking it was probably Texas Raiders doing some training flights ? Spanner can you confirm ?

It was Texas Raiders. We saw it making orbits when we were running the Phantom.

Four Hawker Hurricanes and a P-40 (North Weald, England). Plus had the great pleasure to meet half a dozen Hurricane veterans, grand gentlemen!

An odd one this morning. Sounded like a B-25 for awhile, but not? Then a Stearman-ish biplane generally heading toward
Elli came into view. Sounded like it was on steroids! Couldn't ID it looking into the morning sun.
Thanks for the ID on TR guys!

Waco UPF-7, lives just around the corner from us in the T hangars at EFD. We saw him taxi in.
