Believe they are doing some USN film work for training. All you pic hoards take note. That N3N is titled wrong. Its titled as a -1 but its actually the only -2 built #0265.....with a -1 rudder installed. :)

Did not post this but I know this because the -1 and -2 and -3 all had different tail designs. The -1 had the horizontal mounted much lower with the support strut attaching to the vertical. Because of a tail heavy issue, they raised the horizontal to the location seen on the -2 in the pic. You can see that it has a support strut that goes to the bottom of the fuselage. Since the -2 had seen a improvement but still had tail issues. The -3 tail was reconfigured as a bigger rudder but the Horizontal stayed at the same location in relation to the fuselage and the bottom wing.
