Are there still plans to expand the museum with a new building? What is the current status???

Too soon for me to provide a good answer. For example, I have
heard the Coronado will be the centerpiece and also heard the
Privateer will be. Right now, I don't see the Coironado being
finished in a year and the Privateer remains outside.
When the annex is complete I will be pleased that some, dare I say
most, of the birds will be under cover. This will be a day we have
been waiting years to see. I can't wait!

Owen, When will the new building be finished? I will have to plan a road trip there when that happens.

Current plans call for it to open in 2011 for the
Centennial of Naval Aviation.

I can't wait to get back, maybe in a month or so Great to hear things are one there way to getting a lot more birds under cover.
