Heard a radial, possibly a twin, headed north over Arlington @ 3PM....B-25?

About 10:50 this morning, while working outside in Brenham, Tex. I heard radials coming. I stopped watching and a co worker stopped and looked for what I was looking for. Two CAF Tora birds cruised by, low an slow. The Val was easy to mark with the fixed gear. The other was probably a Tora Zeke, or maybe an AT-6. They both looked gray but so was the sky, the clouds and everything else.
A pleasant change from the spam cans from 11R or the biz jets and USAFres T-44s from Easterwood.

B17 (looked like Texas Raiders) headed ESE over League City @ 2:02PM.

A gray A-4L came through ABQ today. Dont believe it was an ATAC bird since it didnt have their stenciling on it.

At the Vancouver Remembrance Day Ceremonies there was an Aurora (Orion), 2 x CJ-6's in formation with 2 x Yak-18T's and a Harvard, then there was another flight with 4 Harvards, then another flight with 4 Globe Swifts and a flight of 4 RV's directly behind it. There was also a great big gaggle of civil birds (10 or so) from the Recreational Aircraft Association including a Turbi, some C-152's, etc. etc.

It was a rare VFR day for us in Vancouver on Nov 11. Made for a large amount of fly overs.

Cheers,

David

no camera, but i was in addison saturday, i was heading around the airport to cavanauh, and there was the B-24 getting ready to take off. so of course i parked and got to see her take off. VERY EXCITING, even my wife enjoyed seeing our first B-24 in the air. "KEEP-EM-FLYING"

Yesterday (Remembrance Day)...was at work, but found a pretext to pop outside around 10:30 in case I might see (or at least hear) the Lancaster in the air. Got more of an eyeful than expected. Westbound over central Hamilton (obviously having overflown the start of the downtown cenotaph service) came first a loose vic-three of Lancaster, B-25 and CC-130 Hercules (!), then Beech 18 and Harvard in tight echelon, followed by Lysander and Canso. A very impressive "max effort" showing by CWH (with an assist from the Canadian Forces)...way to go folks!

This may tie-in with Daveymac82c's report. Yesterday, the 11th was a nasty, crapo weather day around the Seattle metroplex. I'm sitting in my cubicle @ work around 1345 intently focused on WIX ..er....doing some work, yeah, thats what it was, work yeah-when I hear radials....? There, running scud on the West side of KPAEs pattern were the Granleys using their 'loose' formation of about 12 feet separation in the white CJ and the Goldern Harvard.
Both former Snowbirds so it's always a pleasure watching them go somewhere with about 18 inches between wing tip and fuselage

Yes, after days of rain and the forecast of more rain, the weather gods smiled on us on Remembrance Day! As David mentions there was a good turn out of aircraft flying over the cenotaphs this year in Vancouver. Also, the same can be said for people attending the ceremonies. There was a good turn out of people, more than usual came out too remember, which was nice to see.

Below is the only photo I took of the fly-past, which was the Swifts and RV's.

It's not everyday you get passed off to the right by another aircraft - at least in my experience! It's even less frequent that you get passed by a friendly foreign fighter jet! This Tornado was moving fairly quickly when we saw it just Northeast of Randolph AFB.

And remembering our soldiers at Fort Hood - here's an Apache over Killeen today.

An A-4L N147AT was spotted in the pattern @ Pt. Mugu (KNTD) last thursday

An S-3B, presumably one of, if not the Pt. Mugu bird, orbited KSUU (Travis) at least once this morning. It was grey, and certainly not the NASA bird. Alas, it did not come around again for my 400mm to catch it.
